Hi guys. A while back I was in pretty Prague. Read my stories here and here. During my visit I stayed at the Prague Motel One hotel. And I wanted to introduce you to this budgetfriendly hotel located in the middle of Prague.
I arrived by subway the first evening. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk away from the Naměstí Republiky Square (nearest subway station). But also thinking about exploring Prague’s finest, the Old Town Square is about 1 km away, Wenceslas Square is 1.2 km away, and Charles Bridge can be reached in 20 minutes on foot. Everything is in walking distance. .
When you enter the hotel, you enter the One Lounge bar, a pretty cosy bar in dark colours with shades of turquoise, the colour of the hotel group. The bar is open 24/7 and provides food and drinks.
I really liked the room. It was spacious, equipped with a desk, box-spring beds, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with a rain shower and a hairdryer. I loved that there was an open fire on the television when I arrived. Very cosy. The only thing that is strange, but I think it’s common in the Czech republic, is that you get two small duvets instead of one big one. I have an extralarge duvet at home (280×260), so I had to get used to the fact that the duvet had the same dimensions as my bed. And although my room was next to the elevator, I did not hear a thing.
Breakfast was great as well. Never experienced such a kind service. Everything with a smile and the people responsible for breakfast were so sweet and helpful. Most of the time I get grumpy people to serve me breakfast.
Nice to know is that the hotel owns a fully-equipped conference room that is kept in its original state and filled with nice designer furniture.
Check the pictures underneath to discover Motel One Prague.
Motel One is a German hotel group that is expanding across Europe. Next to Prague you’ll also find a Motel One in London, Vienna, Edinburgh, … Currently the group has 54 hotels and is known for its good prices. Prices start from 60 euro for a night. I think the price/quality is definitely correct.
